Counseling

At the heart of John Johnson’s counseling practice is a deep belief that healing and transformation are possible when faith and psychology come together. Drawing on years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a lifelong devotion to the Catholic faith, John offers a compassionate, faith-integrated approach to mental and relational health. His work helps individuals, couples, and families discover the grace of renewal—restoring relationships, strengthening faith, and fostering peace through the light of Christ’s presence.

Cost

TWO-FEE PACKAGE: Counseling sessions are 50 well-focused minutes, and he offers the following “two-fee package”—with sliding scale DISCOUNTS based on income (on a limited basis), in which your fee could change back and forth as follows based on how often sessions are:

•  “BIWEEKLY Budget Rate”: Easier on the monthly budget.

•  “Weekly-Priority Rate”: An even greater discount when sessions need to be weekly.

Due to the high cost, outside sessions, of operations and of being a stickler for quality in assessment and treatment planning through the course of therapy, his Standard Fee per session is currently $200 + tax & any card fee. HOWEVER, he prefers not to let a fee keep you from working with him, and the lowest fee of his sliding scale is currently $55 + tax & any card fee. Contact Mr. Johnson for a proposed fee based on your annual household income.

Insurance

Although Mr. Johnson's practice is not set up to take insurance payments, he is quite unique in how he integrates the Catholic faith into his practice, "transfiguring" the Sacrament of Marriage with the light of the Eucharist as the one-Flesh Union of Jesus' Marriage with the Church (Eph 5: 31-32). (Along the way, your understanding of the Eucharist may get "transfigured," too.) If you carefully look at his logo, you'll see that "integration" symbolized by a Monstrance exposing the Eucharist, but with two wedding bands at the bottom. And a core principle in his work is, "The truth will set you free" (John 8:32).
