Adult & Child Individual Counseling
Each person’s journey toward wholeness begins with discovering the truth about oneself, especially in light of God's love and mercy. Mr. Johnson provides a safe, compassionate space for adults and children to explore relational struggles and life transitions, especially in the context of Catholic teaching, including Scripture. With an approach that integrates sound mental health practice with faith, individuals discover over and over how "the truth" really can "set you free" (John 8: 32).

John Johnson, MA, LPC, offers a seasoned integration of the Catholic faith with counseling, “transfiguring” marriage (“the basic unit of society”) with the light of the Eucharist as the one-Flesh Union of Jesus with His bride, the Church. This special gift stems from Mr. Johnson’s lifelong background as a formally trained Catholic evangelist and Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor in the State of New Mexico (Lic. #0100181), with an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy (1998) from St. Mary's University of San Antonio, TX.
More and more people are questioning the world’s claim that “truth” does not exist, and Mr. Johnson, with 22+ years of professional experience, helps people discover—in deeply personal ways—that “the truth will set you free” (John 8:32)—and that The Truth has a name, Jesus Christ (cf John 14: 6).
Fluent in Spanish, Mr. Johnson is listed in the Archdiocese Santa Fe Therapist Referral Network. He is also an approved speaker in the ASF (Archdiocese of Santa Fe), dynamically “Unveiling the ‘Mega Mystery’ of the Marriage between Christ and the Church” (Cf Ephesians 5: 31-32). In doing so, he shines light not only on the life of the Catholic Church but also on critical ingredients for healthy relationships and good mental health. Mr. Johnson is also a member of both the ASF Commission on Ecumenism & Interreligious Affairs as well as the Catholic Medical Association (ASF’s Sts. Cosmas & Damian Guild). He and his wife have been married in the Church for over 22 years and have 4 children.
